Lexington - Bluegrass Pagan
Pride is an organization whose primary purpose is the
advancement of religion and elimination of prejudice and discrimination
based on religious
beliefs. We intend to foster pride in Pagan identity through education,
activism, charity and community.
Lexington-Bluegrass Pagan Pride Day 2009 was held on September
19th, from 10am-6pm (that's 2 hours longer
than in '08), at UUCL
, as it was in '08. Visit this site again soon as we document 2009's
successes, and plan for the 2010 event.
LPPD 2009 continued the growth of our Bluegrass event with workshops,
merchants, art, music, ritual, and fellowship. Vendors and diviners
were there in plenty, and some 250 of our local pagans attended our
daylong celebration of 'coming out of the broom-closet'. Hundreds of
pounds of canned goods went to the local food cupboard.
Interested third parties (vendors, covens, and solitary pagans with good planning
skills) are more than welcome to join our mailing list below. As our
comittee begins planning for an even larger event in 2010, We're
looking to gather more input from the local community. Join us at
lexingtonpaganpride!
